About Wandering Brushes
I’ve always believed that art finds you before you find it. For me, it started with crayons, paper, and drawing the a perfect circle before the age of 3 (says my mother).

I was the kid who filled every margin of my homework with doodles. Art wasn’t just a hobby, it was how I made sense of the world. It was my language before I had the words. Growing up as a neurodivergent woman of color, creativity was my safe space. It gave me permission to be loud, messy, expressive, and unapologetically myself. I didn’t know then that this love would evolve into a career spanning signs, make-up artistry, cakes, chalkboards, and murals, but I knew I felt most alive when I was creating.
Now, as a mother to a wildly imaginative and 3-year-old, who is also on the spectrum, I see that same spark in him. Watching him draw reminds me of the freedom I felt as a child. It’s a full-circle moment and it fuels my passion even more..
